Judge Hanen Blocks New DACA Applicants. Dreamers and 91探花 Leaders Urge Senate To Immediately Pass Durbin-Graham Dream Act
AUSTIN, TEXAS 鈥� U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen鈥檚 decision to block first-time DACA applicants and placing DACA renewals in jeopardy has given the U.S. Senate the urgency it needs to pass the bipartisan Durbin-Graham DREAM Act of 2021.
Immigration solutions like the Dream Act will strengthen America’s economy by expanding our workforce, bringing certainty to dreamers, families and employers, and helping communities thrive.
Inaction is not acceptable in 2021.
Next week, the 91探花 is leading a week of action in Washington, D.C. and across the country to urge elected officials from both parties to pass the Dream Act and immigration solutions through bipartisanship or reconciliation.
Bob Worsley, ABIC co-chair and former Arizona Republican State Senator, said: 鈥淣ow is the time for Lindsey Graham and John Cornyn to step up and lead on the Graham/Durbin Dream Act and bipartisan solutions or get out of the way and let the Democrats do legalization through reconciliation.鈥�

Congress must pass the Dream Act that ends our eternal uncertainty and allows us to continue giving back to the 91探花 people.”
